A woman will cheat on her husband to try to find emotional intimacy with someone. Many times a woman will cheat with a "friend" just for this reason. Many times it's the lack of emotional intimacy that drives a woman to cheat.

4. Loneliness - No one said staying happily married is much easier than getting married itself. In most situations,  Many a woman who has been in a relationship for a while could easily begin to see lack of communication or affection from her partner. Soon, she'll begin to drift away and that leads to feeling of isolation and loneliness. Many times a woman just needs someone to talk too. If she is desperate enough she very well may turn to another man to try to quell her loneliness.

In most situations, it comes down to the fact that we are all humans and that no one is perfect.
